Boardwalk Custom Builders brought both flexibility and precision to this mixed-use project, delivering a successful first build with Capita Group and showcasing our ability to adapt on the jobsite.
Project Challenge
This project required unique coordination across both residential and commercial components. From installing commercial storefronts and custom awnings to stepping into steel installation, our team took on scopes outside of traditional framing responsibilities. In addition, a mid-project change order replaced Gypecrete with Excor—a material that must be installed before framing can proceed on upper levels, shifting the usual sequencing.
he Boardwalk Solution
Boardwalk stepped in to handle the steel install directly, allowing the project to stay on track despite vendor limitations. Our team adjusted sequencing to accommodate the Excor install, carefully coordinating framing timelines to avoid delays. These challenges underscored our team’s willingness to go beyond expectations and bring practical solutions without missing deadlines.
Looking Ahead
This first collaboration with Capita Group sets the foundation for a strong working relationship built on trust, communication, and results. Whether navigating unexpected scopes or optimizing complex schedules, Boardwalk is committed to being the framing partner who shows up, solves problems, and gets the job done.
