Working alongside Headwaters, Bookcliffs Lodge introduced new requirements and unexpected jobsite challenges. Through flexibility and problem-solving, our team kept the project moving forward. This project showcases our ability to adapt.
Project Challenge
Overhead power lines along the rear of the building created limited access and required additional safety precautions throughout construction. Because equipment couldn’t safely reach that side of the building, exterior shear installation had to wait until scaffolding was in place. At the same time, stair installation was delayed while the team worked through design revisions and awaited RFI responses. These factors extended portions of the framing schedule beyond the original timeline.
The Boardwalk Solution
To help keep the overall project on track, Boardwalk increased manpower by bringing in additional framing subcontractors to recover lost time. This allowed us to complete the framing in time for follow-on trades to begin work without delaying the overall construction schedule. The project also reinforced the importance of maintaining strong jobsite safety practices, shaping how we plan and execute projects today.
Looking Ahead
Book Cliffs Lodge was a valuable learning experience for our team. Every project comes with challenges, and we’re proud of how our team adapted to keep the project moving. We’re grateful for our partnership with Headwaters Construction and look forward to working together on future projects.
