Our first project with Silver Leaf quickly established us as a reliable, solution-driven framing partner. By responding to issues immediately and being flexible through changing conditions, we delivered the project on schedule without sacrificing quality.
Project Challenge
This was the first build of its kind, which brought inherent challenges. Throughout the project, we encountered multiple discrepancies, particularly with steel fabrication and structural details. Steel components were fabricated incorrectly twice, stair layouts didn’t align, and elevator shaft dimensions needed reconfiguration, requiring close coordination with multiple trades.
he Boardwalk Solution
We responded quickly and decisively. Issues were addressed immediately, often the very next day. When challenges arose, we brought them directly to the GC and worked through solutions together. Our team collaborated closely with the GC, steel fabricators, and elevator contractors to resolve conflicts and keep the project moving forward.
Clear communication with all stakeholders was key. Even when the project was pushed back due to weather, we remained flexible and ready to be there when they needed us, rather than telling them to wait until we were ready. We made it a priority to work around the GC’s schedule, and they really appreciated that.
Looking Ahead
Silver Leaf expressed strong satisfaction with both the quality and speed of our work, and have commented that they want our same crew for upcoming buildings. This project reinforced what sets Boardwalk apart: responsiveness, clear communication, schedule flexibility, and a team that shows up ready to solve problems.
