The Smith Residence highlights Boardwalk Custom Builders’ expertise in custom residential framing. This 4,000-square-foot home was framed in just two weeks and features custom-built timber trusses, beams, and post connections, showcasing both efficiency and precision craftsmanship.
Project Challenge
Rather than using pre-fabricated, high-cost timber systems, the owners opted for a more hands-on approach, ordering raw timbers and relying on our team to construct the timber trusses and connections on site. Coordination with concrete scheduling also required flexibility and adjustments to crew timing.
The Boardwalk Solution
Boardwalk fabricated and installed all custom timber elements, including the entryway trusses and all beam and post connections for the covered patios. This delivered a high-end look without the premium prefab cost. The owner and other trades, particularly the concrete crew, were very impressed with the productivity and coordination of our team. They noted that with the size of our team, usually people would be seen standing around, but our entire team was busy and engaged throughout the whole project.
