Some projects teach you more than others. This custom home was one of those for Boardwalk. We partnered with DWA Construction to build a one-of-a-kind 14,000 sq. ft. custom home—designed with meticulous detail and engineered to withstand 170 mph winds.
Project Challenge
This build was unlike anything we had taken on before—a true learning experience that pushed us to grow as a team. From the very first week, we saw how demanding it would be. With over-engineered hardware, steel alignment adjustments, and complex framing requirements, every stage required precision and creative problem-solving. When details didn’t align on paper or materials needed modification, we worked hand-in-hand with the architect to design custom solutions. Even in the heart of winter, our crews stayed dedicated and gave their best to move the project forward.
The Boardwalk Solution
By rethinking materials, reworking plans, and solving problems in real time, our team turned a demanding build into an opportunity to grow. Each challenge strengthened our collaboration and showcased our craftsmanship. The completed home is more than a structure–it’s proof of what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance.
Looking Ahead
When asked what he learned from this project, our CEO shared: “That we can do anything. No matter how tough the project is, you can always work through it together. I realized that the most on this project. At the end of the day we always found a solution. It took time, but in the end we were always able to come up with a solution.”
